7 Sensations

Hey Peeps, I'm so so sorry for no updates for the last couple of weeks as I've been busy baking over my weekends and have not gone to new places for food. Anyway, my sisters and I went to the Seven Sensations (after much recommendation by my sister) to celebrate my cousin's birthday. Lonnie Tart went there during Xmas, and I had earlier posted on the X'MAS dishes here. This time is to Intro on the dishes on a normal day, which i think its worth your time travelling there. Ambience is great, and Im surprised that the restaurant is quite full even on a weekday.

Mango and Avocado Salad

This Salad is filled with fresh lettuce, shredded carrot slices, Mango and Avocado slices and then, topped with pinenuts. Lastly, it is blended with Vinaigrette, making the taste really unique. I adore avocado back then in Australia. So, I think this dish is a mix blend of sweet and sour taste, which can really open up your appetite for the night.

Clam Chowder Soup

Ever since Lonnie intro this soup to us, she has not stopped talking about how GOOD the soup was. So, my cousin called to order for this soup when she made the reservations. This soup is not made everyday, so we felt truely privileged to be able to taste it. This made me feel that the service is great, as the chef himself is willing to make the exception just for us. I love this soup completely as well. There is a mix of mock ham, mushrooms and other chopped ingredients in tomato-based soup. They blended well completely. There are other soups like mushroom and potato soup, however, they are not my cup of tea.

Baked Potato

Next came the baked potato, which tasted a little blend, but unique. The potatoes is in a form of sheets, where it is layerised like a lasagne. In between the potato is cheeses. Hence it does blends well with the potatoes.

Lasagne

As the restaurant serves both western and chinese dishes, we ordered a little of both worlds to try. Lasagne has a mix of eggplants, spinach, flour and cheese. Tastes quite normal.

Curry Fish Head

The curry fish head tasted quite spicy, and not served on a daily basis as well. You may like it if you love brinjals and ladyfingers. Hee.
Pizza

I cannot quite remember how the pizza tasted, but the crust is thin. Quite normal as what other places are selling.

Baked Rice

Baked Rice is not sold everyday as well. Hence, do check out the notice board on the daily special. The baked rice is mixed with mixed veg and mushroom, topped with baked cheese. I liked it as the risotto tasted just nice, not too soggy and soft.

Braised Noodle Soup

Soup is cooked with Radish and Carrots, making the soup sweet and there are a lot of ingredients in it. Of course it cannot be compared to the noodles from LDF (middle road). But well, this is definitely a healtier choice, as I can hardly find oil from the soup. Hence before the new outlet opens in Chinatown, you might want to settle for this from 7 Sensations.

All in all, it was a great dining experience at this place as the service was good, and food was up to the standard. *I did not manage to take down each individual prices, but we paid $26 each (5 of us in all), after a full 8 dishes meal, which I feel is definitely worthwhile.

Wow, looks tempting, Not familiar with Little India, best tpt is to take MRT to Little India station?
I had always thought Clam Chowder Soup is creamy like mushroom soup. Interesting,I love western soup, Lasagne & baked rice too but normal restaurants usually serve them with onion/garlic. Would certainly like to try.

I think LDF at middle road is no longer around. You could try their main branch at Apollo centre near Chinatown. Had not been there for long time so was unable to find out if they have any other outlets.
Certainly hope they could survive as I love their Spicy noodles.
Cheers:-)

Yea, im quite happy that the lasagne and baked rice do not come with onion/garlic.
Anyway, lets hope the LDF at middle road opens soon!
