Zi Zai vegetarian stall has been around for many years before it is relocated to Tampines. According to the boss, there are currently 2 outlets operated by himself and his sister. His sister's outlet is currently at Tampines, while his outlet is at Aljunid. They used to be 2 stalls at circuit road but they have since relocated in view of the renovations. According to the boss, they do not intend to move back to Circuit Road after renovations are completed. Last weekend I went to the Tampines outlet for dinner, and I have completely fallen in love with their hokkien mee.
Comprises of lots of vegetables, egg, veg fish cake, tofu and some mock stuff. I like the way it is cook whereby the noodles are soft but not overcooked, and the gravy tastes heavenly. Do let the chef know if you do not take eggs.
The serving is huge and luckily my dad shared this dish with me. If you do not take so much rice, do inform them beforehand. The Pork is made of mock meat, and is nicely stir fried in sweet and sour sauce.
I do not remember how much each item costs, we ordered 10 satays and 4 pratas in addition to the above and inclusive of 3 drinks for $22. It is quite affordable for a family of 4, and I was left fully satisfied after this meal. It is usually packed at night, so be early if you do not want to wait too long for a seat. They do serve quite fast, and opens till 11pm at night. Hence for supper lovers, this is one place to look out for if you want a meal after 9pm! It is making me envious that Tampines is becoming more and more vegetarian friendly!

Kway Chup
My mum is a mega huge fan of Kway Chup and she can have this dish almost every day. This is yet another huge serving. Comprises of the norm - tofu, taupok and egg. The soup is heavenly! It is not oily and has a strong aroma of tonic herbs.
Prata/Satay
Apologies for th ugly picture as I only remembered after eating my prata halfway. Hence the prata is half-eaten. It is good to see more local delights like roti prata available in vegetarian places. The satay tastes good too. However, please note that the satay is deep-fried and not grilled.
