Taste of Natural @ Raffles Place

This stall has been around since the beginning of this year but i've not tried it until last week with clare. Judging from the lunchtime crowd, it is definitely good to see a substantial number of customers patronising the stall. I guess this is the first Halal food court stall that serves Natural and Organic Vegetarian food at an affordable price. The food are prepared with natural ingredients like sea salt, raw sugar, olive oil and others. In addition, there is no usage of MSG, preservatives or processed ingredients.
Menu

This is the menu that shows what they sell on a daily basis. We were there on a tues so I tried the baked tofu while clare took the stew mushroom noodle soup.

Baked Tofu $3.80

Apologies for the bad picture. It is basically Fried Tofu topped with fresh veggies (Lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, radish) that are shredded and mixed with a special sauce. I could not make out the sauce, but it was definitely refreshing and unique. It is a mix of sweet and sour taste, but certainly not plum sauce. Most importantly, this supposedly "side dish" was very filling. I did not order any mains at all.

Stew Mushroom Noodle Soup $4.80

I tried a few mouthfuls of the noodles and the soup was really sweet. Comprises of Carrots and Raddish stewed over a long time, hence brings out the natural taste of the soup.

Miao Yin Vegetarian @ Rochor

This stall was formerly located at Tekka Mall, but it has moved to Bugis since the food court there has closed down. This coffeshop is only a few stores away from the Eastern Highland Cake House and it serves a variety of tze char, mixed vegetable rice (with brown rice option) and some set meals. Thanks to miumiu again, for the post!

Store Front

The previous time I patronage them was when they were at Tekka Mall, I have tried their Breaded Prawn Roll ($3), Fried Dumpling ($2.50), Laksa ($2.50), Sambal Fish Set ($5) and mixed vegetable rice.
The mixed vegetable rice comes with a bowl of soup, but I am not sure whether do they still serve the soup after moving here. As for the Sambal Fish set, it comes with a small plate of vegetables and note that the fish is really spicy.
Their Laska is not bad and worth trying too. The Fried Dumpling tastes nice with the black vinegar sauce. The Breaded Prawn Roll quite oily and hence not suitable for the health concious.

Mee Rebus $2.50

Before I was able to take the picture, my mum already ate half of the Mee Rebus. I like the Tau Pok chunks which taste just nice with the thick potato gravy.

Fish Head Bee Hoon $3

The soup base used for this meal is actually salted preserved vegetable soup, hence it is quite different from the usual soup cook with ginger and carnation milk. The beehoon tastes springy, however, the the fish slice as it was not too well-fried.

All in all, there are a lot of dishes and tze char options available from this stall. And should you be in bugis area, as I've mentioned earlier, this is definitely a vegetarian heaven!

Vegetarian Food @ Toa Payoh Hub

I've long heard of the cheap and good food at Toa Payoh HDB Hub. However, each time Im at Toa Payoh, I'll always be lured to the Yong Tau Foo at Kofu instead. Thanks to miumiu contributions once again!

The entrance to this food court is besides the Mc Donald's inside the Toa Payoh bus interchange and you should be able to see the word “vegetarian” from the signboard beside. The stall is at the far right end when you walked down the stairs from the entrance. There is no stall name, but a large "VEGETARIAN" as a signboard.
They serve daily specials. Menu of the day for Monday is Fish Slice MeeHoon/Rice and Bak Kuh Teh Noodle/Rice (cost $3).

Fish Slice MeeHoon (鱼片米粉) $2.50
Tried the fish slice Beehoon and I think it’s certainly worth trying. Comprises of veg, seaweed, veg fishslices. I like the flavor of the soup and the stall owner actually put in cabbages instead of the usual green leafy vegetables. This is not suitable for vegans as carnation milk is used in the soup.
By the way, this stall does sell brown rice when you order mixed vegetable rice.
